Today, we pause to remember those who have given the ultimate sacrifice, their lives in service to protect our nation.   We are forever in their debt for their service.
On this day we honor those that have died in defense of our liberty and freedom, one of the ways to honor their service is to make sure we take care of our men and women in uniform while in active service and once they return home. In living up to that promise, I supported legislation adding federal Veteran Health ID cards as an eligible voter identification.
As Leon County Supervisor of Elections, I will continue to provide voting assistance and advocacy for our veterans and the military community to ensure that Every Vote Counts and Every Vote Has a Voice!

Although, we can never fully repay for the sacrifices of those who gave their lives of devotion to our country and the freedom we all enjoy.  But, we can reflect, remember and say “THANK YOU” to honor our fallen heroes and their families.  We are forever grateful and humbled by those who love their country so much that they would die for all of us.
Thank You and God Bless,
Alan
